Domina

With the artwork “Domina” I wanted to depict a female dominatrix who conveys a message of strength, courage and independence with a penetrating gaze and special energy. She is accompanied by a partner in the shadows who gives her security and accompanies her.

The interplay of emotions in this work confronts the viewer with the question of whether the dominatrix will stay or leave and whether the man will run away or muster the courage to step out of the shadows and take on a leadership role.

Every strong woman needs a strong man.
